A snatch thief was caught by a group of people at the Kurunegala bus stand. He is alleged to have snatched a gold necklace from a woman at the bus stand. The woman shouted and the people gathered at the scene, caught the suspect and handed him over to the Police.

He was remanded on being produced before Kurunegala Chief Magistrate.
