Gayan Priyasath alias Kalu of Modera, the main suspect wanted in connection with the attack on Mattakkuliya Police station, surrendered to police, Inspector R.M.A. Rajapaksa of the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) told Colombo Additional Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe Bandara yesterday.

The other 23 suspects remanded in connection with the attack on the police station were further remanded till August 9. Inspector Rajapaksa told the Magistrate that investigations have still not been completed.
