A Special Unit was set up at the Local Government and Provincial Councils Ministry to find solutions for unsolved local government problems and lodge complaints as well as to obtain information.

A spokesman for the Ministry said Local Government and Provincial Council Minister A.L.M. Athaullah opened the new unit at the Ministry to solve unresolved local government problems to receive complaints and provide advice and information to the public.

Opening the new Unit Minister Athaullah said the Unit will function from now on to solve the problems faced by the public in relation to work of the local Government bodies.
